document | Neapolitan and the International Mother Language Day 2020

On the occasion of the International, Mother Language Day 2020 Accademia Napoletana (Neapolitan Academy) send a note to the UNESCO, in Neapolitan (and English). The Accademia Napoletana, presided by dr. Massimiliano Verde, is a scientific comité to preserve and promote Neapolitan Language and Heritage. The Accademia works according to the principles of the Declaration of Human Rights, the Convention of the Rights of the Child and any Conventions preserving cultural and linguistic rights as human rights. Neapolitan is a Vulnerable Language, in Italy Neapolitan mother-tongue children are prompted to abandon their language, considered in Italy as socially unsuitable. Accademia Napoletana realizes teaching programs, conferences, events all around the (the Nuje Project) for every Neapolitan community as well as linguistic communities at risk.
