A comparative study of educational and linguistic relations in the sphere of general and secondary vocational education for the indigenous small-numbered peoples of the Far North and Far East, and for peoples leading a nomadic and semi- nomadic way of life in Russia, as well as for the Aboriginal peoples of Canada (Indians, Inuit and Metis)

A comparative legal and historical-legal analysis of the emergence and development of the foundations of the legal regulations in the Russian Federation and Canada, and the development of scientifically grounded proposals for the advancement of language policy in the context of significant changes in Russia’s foreign policy course and international relations as a whole.
Representatives of the expert and scientific community of universities in Canada and Russia are invited.
It is possible to organise mutual visits to the specified countries and establish scientific cooperation between the relevant departments and units of PFUR University and Canadian universities, particularly the University of British Columbia.
We will be glad to see representatives from various fields of knowledge and science, teachers of minority languages, independent scholars and researchers, students and postgraduates.
