Languages: Tundra Nenets, Northern Khanty
On International Mother Language Day, the Intellect Center of Noyabrsk hosted a dictation in the languages of the indigenous peoples of the North and the Komi people “Our tongue has been enhanced for ages”.
Yamal-Nenets Department of Indigenous Affairs broadcast the opening ceremony of the dictation from Salekhard. It started with a welcoming speech by the director of the department, Inna Sotrueva. The people who took part in the dictation speak, read and write in the Nenets and Khanty languages.
Each participant of the dictation got a certificate. Totally, more than 800 Yamal residents took part in the dictation in 2022.
