Diana Taiberi from the village of Aksarka, Priuralsky District, Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, spoke about the practice of creating educational materials in the Nenets language

Diana Taiberi became an expert of a simulated seminar “Strategy of Leadership: How to Write a Successful Project Proposal?” at the “Russian North” youth forum and spoke about her experience in preparing the “Getting Ready for School” project. In 2021, Diana took part in the “Yamal Youth Initiatives” grant competition, and her project received regional grant support of 100 rubles.

The goal of the project is to promote successful socialization of preschool children and continue the tradition of family education in nomadic families.

Diana’s team developed educational cards in Nenets and Russian on such topics as “Alphabet”, “Numbers”, “Seasons”, “Meet the Family”. The sets of educational cards are created with the use of the elements of the traditional culture of the peoples of the North.

60 preschoolers have already received the cards. Now the project is being implemented in Tazovsky and Priuralsky districts and in the Komi Republic. In the near future, the project team will develop a new set of cards. It will include colloquial dialogues for children in the Nenets language.
