“Tatarcha Dictation” is aimed at increasing interest in literate spelling, proficiency in the literary Tatar language, self-checking spelling and grammatical errors. Everyone can try their hand at writing dictation in the Tatar language.
The promotion is an annual voluntary and free for everyone. It provides for the participation of people who speak both the initial level of the Tatar language and are fluent in the Tatar language.
Dictation is held on a single day in all subjects of the Russian Federation, foreign countries and in the regions of the Republic of Tatarstan. The text of the dictation will be checked by the organizers of the sites, including philologists, professors and doctors of philology.
The results of the dictation will be published on the official website of the campaign no later than 30 days after the event.
In 2016, Tatarcha Dictation was held for the first time, 600 people from 3 foreign countries and 9 regions of Russia participated.
In 2017, “Tatarcha Dictation” was written by 4,000 people from 9 foreign countries and 20 regions of Russia.
In 2018, Tatarcha Dictation was attended by more than 10,000 people from 18 foreign countries and 35 regions of Russia.
In 2019, about 85,000 people from 22 foreign countries and 47 regions of Russia.
By 2020 , the number of participants is more than 378,875 people .
In 2021, the audience of the campaign was more than 1 million people from 34 foreign countries and 74 regions of Russia.
In 2022, the number of participants of Tatarcha Dictation from all over the world exceeded the mark of 1,106,827 people from 31 foreign countries and 74 regions of the Russian Federation.
The dictation text is determined by scientists of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication of KFU.
The organizers of the action are the World Forum of Tatar Youth, the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars, the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication.
