The XIV Regional contest of national cultures “We live in the Urals” is held in accordance with the plan of the main events of the state autonomous cultural institution of the Sverdlovsk region “Sverdlovsk State Regional Palace of Folk Art” for 2023 and will be held on March 18-19, 2023 in the Center of Culture and Leisure of the Krasnoufimsk city district at the address: Krasnoufimsk, Sovetskaya str. 2

The competition is open to national folk groups, individual performers, creative families working in various directions of the folk genre, who have been previewed locally.

Creative performances of the pop genre are not allowed to participate in the competition.

Age groups of participants:
– from 6 to 17 years old;
– from 18 years and older.

The competition is held in the following categories:
– Choreography: traditional folk dance (includes Russian dance and dances of other peoples living in the Middle Urals).
– Vocals: folk song (performed in Russian and the language of the peoples living in the territory of the Middle Urals).
– Instrumental creativity.
– Decorative and applied art: for the age group of 18 years and older.

The curator of the project: Plekanchuk Elena Mikhailovna–the leading methodologist of UIA TSKID GO Krasnoufimsk.

The founders and organizers of the event are: the Ministry of Culture of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Sverdlovsk State Regional Palace of Folk Art (SGODNT), the Department of Culture of the Krasnoufimsk City District, the Municipal Autonomous Institution Center for Culture and Leisure of the Krasnoufimsk City District.

This collaborative platform was established to enable the community of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (IDIL 2022–2032) to share events, activities, and resources. The content published on the platform is the responsibility of registered users and does not commit the Secretariat of the Decade (UNESCO) and/or the Members of the Global Task Force for Making a Decade of Action for Indigenous Languages. Please note that the platform has been inactive since February 2025 and no longer accepts new uploads. While work is underway to provide an updated solution, the Secretariat of IDIL 2022–2032 remains available for any inquiries at: indigenous.languages@unesco.org.
