The Regional Children’s and Youth Festival of artistic creativity of indigenous peoples of the North of the Sakhalin region “Heirs of Traditions” (hereinafter the Festival) is held in all types and genres of national culture.
The following events were held as part of the festival events:
• Correspondence competition, discussion, analysis of programs;
• Correspondence gala concert;
• exhibition of children’s works of decorative and applied art of indigenous peoples of the North;
• exhibition of linocuts;
• master class in northern choreography.
The first festival “Heirs of Traditions” was organized in 2006 and then held once every three years. Since that time, he has been collecting children and teenagers from among the indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North of the Sakhalin region. The age of participants is from 5 to 17 years.
Traditionally, the Festival is held with the support of the Regional Ministry of Culture and Archives. The organizer is the Sakhalin Regional Folk Art Center.
This year the festival was held within the framework of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages of the World.
“Heirs of Traditions” brought together participants from six municipalities:
• Folk Nivkh folklore ensemble “Keh” (“The Seagull”) hands. Tatiana Aleksandrovna Shkalygina, Tymovsky city district;
• children’s and youth group of the national folk ensemble “Mangume ilga” (“Silver patterns”) of hands. Olga Aleksandrovna Reznik, Poronai city district;
• The Nivkh National Children’s Choreographic Ensemble “Tamarelkash” (“Restless”) is a satellite collective of the National Nivkh National Choreographic Ensemble “Ari la myth” (“Land of the North Wind”) hands. Alexander Nikolaevich Goroshko, Nogliksky City District;
• ensemble “Moroshechka”, hands. Elena Anatolyevna Niganova, Alexandrovsk-Sakhalinsky District City District;
• the ensemble “Sunny” and “Ray” is a satellite of the Folk collective of amateur artistic creativity “Saw Ken” (“Big Sun”) hands. Irina Aleksandrovna Komarova, city district “Okhinsky”;
• Ensemble of the ethnocultural center “People of the Myth”
• students of the children’s art school P. Nogliki, teacher Lyudmila Leonidovna Paskit;
• and individual young artists and craftsmen from the village of Viakhtu, village. Nogliki, Poronaysk and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
In 2022, in addition to Sakhalin residents, guests from the Khabarovsk Territory came to the festival, an exemplary team of amateur artistic creativity, the folklore song and dance ensemble “Hosta” (from the Ulchi “Asterisk”). In addition to the performances, the guests brought products of decorative and applied creativity.
On March 24, a concert was held at the Sakhalin Puppet Theater.
The jury summed up the results, the results and the correspondence gala concert were posted on the website of the Sakhalin Regional Folk Art Center.
