The 25th anniversary state examination of graduates took place at the department, where eight creative programs about the traditions of Udmurtia, the Komi Republics, Mari El, Belarus and Ingermanland were presented.

The Department of Music of the Finno-Ugric Peoples of the Petrozavodsk Glazunov State Conservatory is the only one in the world where ethnomusicologists–Finno-Ugric scholars are trained.
