The Council of the Naples Bar Order, on the proposal of Dr. Massimiliano Verde, president of the Neapolitan Academy, and Stefano bouché and Antonella Santoro lawyers, organizes the conference “Languages, Cultural Heritage and mass-media: Neapolitan language as a case of study.
We deal with the actual socio-cultural “image” and stereotype by the Italian mass media and scholar system about the Neapolitan language and its speakers.
Cause the situation is very problematic (lack of legacy, absence of national scholar system teaching programs, discrimination, gaslighting, etc.) the topic is introduced by Doctor Massimiliano Verde who recalls the articles of the International Convention against All Violence and Discrimination against Women the Convention on Children’s Rights and the Convention against All Forms of Racial Discrimination, also according to the principle of the Italian Constitution to human and cultural rights.
The conference is moderated by the lawyer Antonella Santoro, delegate for Legality and Citizen services for the Council.
