On October 27, 2022, a meeting of the Academic Council of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) “National Library of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)” was held. The National Library of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is working on the creation of a working program for organizing a national fund for the depository storage of books in the languages of the small-numbered peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East.
Work continues with the libraries of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in terms of filling and maintaining the Consolidated Catalog of Literature of the Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East. The catalog is created on the basis of the National Library of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) with the participation of 16 libraries from other regions that have a fund of the peoples of the North.
As of October 28, 2022, the volume of the Consolidated Catalog is 7,577 bibliographic records about the publications of the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East.
