The 58th All-Russian poetry festival “Silver Lyre” was held at the estate of A.K. Tolstoy in the village of Krasny Rog. It is dedicated to the work of Alexei Konstantinovich Tolstoy.

At the beginning of the holiday, a solemn liturgy was held in the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. After that, the guests laid flowers at the tomb of Alexei Konstantinovich and Sofia Andreevna Tolstoy.

The ceremony of laying flowers to the bust of the writer was already held at the museum-estate. After the opening ceremony, a concert was held. There they performed romances based on poems by Alexei Tolstoy.

Within the framework of the event, the presentation of the Tolstoy regional award “Silver Lira” took place. The laureates were Alexander Khomrachev, People’s Master of Russia, Chairman of the Bryansk regional branch of the Union of Artists of Russia, and Marina Finogenova, actress of the Bryansk Regional Drama Theater named after A.K. Tolstoy.

In addition, an immersive tour “Silent Speeches”, exhibitions of painting and photography, and master classes were held for the guests of the holiday.The presentation of the regional award named after A. K. Tolstoy “Silver Lira” took place at the event. Alexander Khomrachev, People’s Master of Russia, member of the Union of Artists of Russia, Chairman of the Bryansk regional branch of the Union of Artists of Russia, was awarded the prize for his great contribution to the preservation and promotion of the historical, cultural and literary heritage of A. K. Tolstoy, the creation of highly artistic works. Marina Finogenova, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, actress of the Bryansk Regional Drama Theater named after A. K. Tolstoy, was awarded for the vivid stage embodiment of Tolstoy’s images.

A special feature of the poetry festival was the excursion “Silent Speeches” with sound and light installations directed by Daria Kudritskaya, which allowed a deep dive into the life and work of Count Tolstoy. The project was presented for the first time. For each room of the museum, the authors of the installation have developed a special sound space that includes music, speech, noise components and lighting design. The narration was based on the lyrical works of Alexei Konstantinovich, gusli, kalyuki, glucophones, balalaika, bells were used in the creation of music.

Cultural institutions prepared and conducted concerts and excursions, exhibitions of painting and photography, master classes, interactive museum sites for adults and children, puppet shows, sessions under the dome of the planetarium and a rich literary, poetic and concert program for the guests of the holiday.
