MPGU participates in the Russian Language Day In Mongolia

Russian Language Day and the 225th anniversary of A. S. Pushkin was held on the basis of the Russian House in Mongolia. Elena Omelchenko, Dean of the Faculty of Regional Studies, Ethnic and Cultural Education, Deputy Director of the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Education of the Moscow Pedagogical State University, was invited to participate in the event distantly. Within the framework of the Russian Language Day the presentation of the collective monograph “Russian Language in Mongolia: the Sphere of Education” was held, the official reviewer of which was a professor of MPGU. This book is the result of joint labor of Russian and Mongolian scientists. The main purpose of the new edition is to study and scientifically analyze the situation of the Russian language in modern Mongolia. In the framework of the event Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Ts. Sarantsatsral presented to the Mongolian teachers of Russian language the results of the sociolinguistic research, revealed various aspects of the use of Russian language in modern Mongolian education, and Elena Omelchenko told about the significance and extreme relevance of the undertaken research. Plans and new cooperation between the Faculty of Regional Studies, Ethnic and Cultural Education of ISGO MPGU and Mongolian partners are being formed.
