Eight theater groups from the Tara district of the Omsk region took part in the V regional festival – a competition of children’s theater groups and puppet theaters “Tales of an Ancient City”, which was held as part of the “Wreath of Friendship” project with the support of a subsidy from the Government of the Omsk region and the support of the Presidential Grants Fund.
The festival was born in 2014 and is held once every 2 years. Collectives from rural settlements of the Tara region and the city of Tara take part in it.
The main goal of the festival competition of children’s theater groups and puppet theaters “Tales of the Ancient City” is the preservation and study of the national cultures of the peoples living in the territory of the Tara municipal region.
The age of the participants is from 6 to 14 years. The festival is an open creative competition of amateur children’s groups in 2 categories: “Musical fairy tale”, “Fairy tale – performance”.
In the nomination “Fairy Tale Performance” of the V regional festival of children’s theater groups and puppet theaters “Tales of an Ancient City”, the theater group “Joke” received the 1st place.
