Knowledge of the history of your region plays an important role in fostering patriotism and love for the Homeland. Studying the history and culture of the native land not only broadens horizons, but also helps to form a sense of belonging to history. This makes it possible to know yourself, to perceive the cultural and historical heritage of your people as the history and culture of one’s family, one’s place of residence, included in the context of a larger history.
On October 22, the intellectual game “About the land where we live!” was held in the Department of National and Local History Literature of the National Library of the Chechen Republic. The game was attended by students of secondary school № 20.
Sheets with questions on the history and culture of the Chechen Republic were prepared for the participants of the game. The students had to answer questions using their knowledge and erudition. The questions covered a wide range of topics: history, culture, ethnography, folklore, and more.
The students tested their knowledge about the rich past of the Chechen Republic and discovered new facts about its modern life. During the game, they solved crosswords, answered questions about the key events of the region, its heraldry, cultural and natural attractions, as well as about outstanding countrymen.
The game has become not only a test of knowledge, but also an opportunity to deepen it, learning little-known pages of the history of a small homeland. Each answer, whether correct or not, opened up new horizons for further research and exploration.
The event ended with an inspiring discussion. The participants agreed to continue exploring the wonderful history of their land, creating new projects and initiatives, as the intellectual game has become not just a competition, but also a real platform for unity and joint creativity.
As a result, the jury decided not to award a prize, as all the teams showed good knowledge of the history of Chechnya.
