On June 6, 2024, in celebration of the 225th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian poet Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin and the Day of the Russian Language, the House of Friendship of the Leningrad Region and ethnocultural organizations prepared an online event – a reading of the poem “Monument.” The poet wrote this work in 1836, and many perceive it as a spiritual testament. “Monument” has been translated into 30 languages of the peoples of Russia and more than 200 languages worldwide.

Today, the immortal lines of this poem are recited by representatives of various ethnocultural associations: the Union of Russian Communities, the Tatar Cultural Society “Fayda,” the Karelian Commonwealth, the Foundation “White Dew,” the Ukrainian Cultural Society “Dzherelo,” the Mari National-Cultural Autonomy “Shiy Korno,” the Vepsian Community, the National-Cultural Autonomy of the Ingrian Finns “Inkeri,” the Lithuanian Ethnocultural Club “Viturelis,” the Congress (Kurultai) of the Bashkirs, and the Komi Community.
