On November 7, 2023, the VIII International Educational Event “Great Ethnographic Dictation” took place in the House of Friendship of the Leningrad Region. It was attended by activists and heads of ethnocultural public organizations of the region, students, representatives of indigenous peoples, employees of the House of Friendship. Together with everyone, Irina Belyakova, director of the branch of the House of Peoples of Russia in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Alexander Gabitov, Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Leningrad Region, and Lira Burak, Chairman of the Committee on Local Government, Interethnic and Interfaith Relations, took part in the dictation. The participants of the dictation answered 30 questions: 20 common to all and 10 unique to the Leningrad region.

This collaborative platform was established to enable the community of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (IDIL 2022–2032) to share events, activities, and resources. The content published on the platform is the responsibility of registered users and does not commit the Secretariat of the Decade (UNESCO) and/or the Members of the Global Task Force for Making a Decade of Action for Indigenous Languages. Please note that the platform has been inactive since February 2025 and no longer accepts new uploads. While work is underway to provide an updated solution, the Secretariat of IDIL 2022–2032 remains available for any inquiries at: indigenous.languages@unesco.org.
