On November 29, the Sverdlovsk Regional Interethnic Library hosted an interregional teleconference “Preserving languages – shaping the future: the role of libraries in preserving the languages of the peoples of Russia and popularizing reading in native languages.”
During the teleconference, unique projects were presented, which are being successfully implemented in different regions of Russia. Library specialists discussed the preservation of linguistic and ethnocultural diversity through the creation of a digital library resource in open access; the formation and development of consolidated catalogues of literature of the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East.
