The Graduate Education & Training in Southeast Asian Studies (GETSEA) consortium will be teaming up with the Phnom Penh-based Bophana Audiovisual Resource Center (http://bophana.org) to screen four short films created by Cambodian filmmakers. Each of the four films is created by and focuses on a different ethnic group in Cambodia – the Khmer, Jarai, Karvet & Bunong. The four films come together under the theme of “Healing, Memory & Care” and coincide with the International Decade of Indigenous Languages campaign.

The GETSEA Simulcast Film Screening (http://bit.ly/GETSEASimulcast) will be held simultaneously in-person at over 20 universities across North America. Additionally, a digital-only option will be provided via Zoom for people across the globe to join. The event will include a short introduction, screening of the four films, and a Q&A session with the filmmakers following the screening.
