On January 24, the creativity of poet, journalist, translator, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Karelia Nikolai Abramov was remembered in the House of Friendship of the Peoples of the Republic of Karelia.

The scale of Nikolai Viktorovich‘s creative genius is great, and his work was so multifaceted that it is impossible to overestimate his contribution to the formation of the Vepsian literary language and the growth of national identity.

Nikolai Abramov was a true creator, who wrote with all his soul about life and destiny, homeland and love. He treated Vladimir Vysotsky‘s songwriting with interest and admiration, and masterfully translated his poems into the Vepsian language.

Colleagues and friends, connoisseurs of Nikolai Abramov‘s talent recalled his life and work, read poetry, sang songs.

On this day, also the literary and poetic composition Your voice saves me, Volodya: Vladimir Vysotsky in the life of Nikolai Abramov took place in the Podporozhsky library.

Sergey Kiselyov, Minister of National and Regional Policy of the Republic of Karelia, sent a Welcome address to the participants of the event, in which he thanked them for the cherished memory of a talented person.
