April 10 School №55 Samara became the organizer of the platform for the All-Russian educational campaign “Dictation in the Moksha and Erzya languages”.

The purpose of the dictation is to improve literacy in the Moksha and Erzya languages and popularize the Mordovian languages.

This year, residents of 10 regions of Russia take part in the dictation: (Republic of Mordovia, Bashkortostan, Chuvashia, Tatarstan, Moscow, as well as Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, Ulyanovsk, Samara, Chelyabinsk regions).

The organizer of the dictation is the Volga Center of Finno-Ugric Peoples’ Cultures with the support of the Ministry of Culture, National Policy and Archives of the Republic of Mordovia.

Since 2023 has been declared the Year of the Teacher and Mentor in Russia, the text of the dictation is dedicated to teachers.

Representatives of the Mordovian autonomy, students of Mordovian nationality, took part in the action at the site of school №55. The coordinator of the site was the head of the volunteer team of the school “Volunteers-55”, the deputy director of the school Romanova Irina Petrovna.

This collaborative platform was established to enable the community of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (IDIL 2022–2032) to share events, activities, and resources. The content published on the platform is the responsibility of registered users and does not commit the Secretariat of the Decade (UNESCO) and/or the Members of the Global Task Force for Making a Decade of Action for Indigenous Languages. Please note that the platform has been inactive since February 2025 and no longer accepts new uploads. While work is underway to provide an updated solution, the Secretariat of IDIL 2022–2032 remains available for any inquiries at: indigenous.languages@unesco.org.
