I remember a wonderful moment:
You appeared before me,
Like a fleeting vision,
Like a genius of pure beauty.
Every year on June 6, Pushkin Day is celebrated in Russia, also known as the Day of the Russian Language.
It’s probably hard to find a person who doesn’t know that name. Pushkin enters our life in childhood and stays with us until the end. Everyone finds something of their own in him, perhaps close and understandable only to him. Every age has its own Pushkin.
By this date, the Pushkin drawing room “Zvuchi, the Divine Lyre” was held in the library. The event was opened to the symphonic suite of G. Sviridov “Blizzard”. Then Irina Dunar, a researcher at the Pushkin Library-Museum, spoke to the readers. The topic of her speech: “Pushkin’s influence on Ostrovsky’s work”.
The event featured poems by Alexander Sergeevich performed by library readers and professional announcers: “Winter Morning” An excerpt from the poem “The Bronze Horseman”, an excerpt from the poem “Eugene Onegin”, “The Prophet”, “Keep me my talisman”, “Flower”, “Monument”, etc.
Many years have passed since Pushkin’s death, and the “folk path” to his work never overgrows. We, the descendants, will always be proud that there was a poet in our country who sincerely loved poetry and the Motherland.
