Annual competition “National Literary Award”

The Agency for Nationalities Affairs of the Republic of Tyva has announced the start of accepting applications for the “National Literary Award” competition in the field of literature. The award will be presented on November 1 at a solemn event dedicated to the Day of the Tuvan Language. Acceptance of works for the Award ends on October 1, 2022. Russian Russian and Tuvan language works written in the Tuvan language can be submitted to the competition, as well as author’s translations of works (from Tuvan into Russian, from Russian into Tuvan) written in the languages of other nationalities. Each nominee has the right to nominate no more than two works. The work cannot be nominated for the Prize again. Dilogies, trilogies, etc. are considered as one work.The minimum volume of a collection of novellas and/or short stories and poetic works is 3 author’s sheets (the text of 40 thousand printed characters, including spaces, is accepted as an author’s sheet). The maximum volume of the work is not limited.When nominated for the Award, the following materials are provided: 🔹Book works in two copies. A letter of nomination, which should contain the following information: 🔹information about the nominee – the author who nominates the work for the Award, the necessary contact numbers and addresses, 🔹a brief creative biography of the author (all co-authors, if the work is written in co-authorship), indicating the surname, first name, patronymic, pseudonym (if any), a list of the most significant publications (if any), 🔹full title of the work, basic information about the work, its creative features, with the motivation for its nomination Award amount: The award is awarded based on the following criteria: ✔for the best work with high artistic merit, based on the morality and spirituality of the peoples of Russia and the Republic of Tyva – 100,000 (one hundred thousand) rubles;✔for contribution to the development of literary translation, preservation and careful development of the traditions of Tuvan literature and its popularization – 70,000 (seventy thousand) rubles; ✔for the contribution of young writers to the development of Tuvan literature – 65,000 (sixty-five thousand) rubles; ✔for contribution to the education of the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and internationalism – 65,000 (sixty-five thousand) rubles.
