In 2022 the Faculty of Philology of the North-Eastern Federal University named after M.K. Ammosov actively continues educational projects aimed at supporting, developing and protecting the Russian language.
The Republican “Literacy Festival”, held jointly with the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) on the eve of the international educational campaign “Total Dictation” in March 2022, was a platform for achievements in preserving and developing the Russian language as a means of Russian literary culture, and combined a set of events aimed at solving the main goals and objectives of the Festival. The festival form of the event largely contributed to the comprehensive solution of tasks, bringing together scientists, philologists, linguists, language teachers, politicians, journalists, writers, students, and schoolchildren in their desire to preserve and increase our national heritage. The main expected results of the Literacy Festival include strengthening, expanding and deepening knowledge of the Russian language, as well as increasing the functional literacy of participants.
