“Kaleidoscope of the Peoples of the Caucasus”

From July 12 to 14, 2024, the Ethnofestival “Kaleidoscope of the Peoples of the Caucasus” was held in Cherkessk, Karachay-Cherkessia. “Kaleidoscope of the Peoples of the Caucasus” is a project aimed at preserving, developing and popularizing the cultural identity of the peoples and ethnic communities of the regions of the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts of Russia. The Ethnofestival opened with creative meetings of participants in folklore groups: choreographic, vocal, instrumental groups, masters of folk crafts and trades, representing various types of folk culture from the Lugansk People’s Republic, the Republic of Crimea, Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Adygea, Stavropol Territory, the Republic of Ingushetia, the Republic of Dagestan, the Chechen Republic, the Astrakhan Region and the Karachay-Cherkess Republic. Guests and participants of the festival were able to get acquainted with vocal, choreographic, instrumental types of folk art, with the life, traditions and customs of the peoples of the Caucasus. For assistance in organizing the participation of creative groups from the Chechen Republic, they were awarded letters of gratitude. In total, artists and dance groups from more than ten regions of Russia took part in the event.
